✦ Candidate for Associate Pastor of Adult Discipleship
We are honored to introduce James Gonzalez as the candidate for Associate Pastor of Adult Discipleship at Glen Meadows Baptist Church.
James has a deep love for Jesus, a clear calling to make disciples, and a heart for helping people grow toward their God-given potential in Christ.
As a church family, we invite you to take some time to get to know James and his family as we prepare for the upcoming vote to affirm him as a member of our pastoral staff.
Meet james and sara
James and his wife, Sara, have been married since 2007 and have built a Christ-centered home marked by faith, perseverance, and a desire to follow the Lord wherever He leads. Together they have five children: Kathleen, Miriam, Priscilla, Emily, and Isaac. Their story reflects a steady trust in God’s leadership through every season.
Sara is deeply devoted to her family and has faithfully invested in the lives of their children and others through homeschooling and leadership in that community. Together, James and Sara share a desire to serve the church and help others take their next step with Jesus.
James’ Calling and Heart for Ministry
James came to faith in Jesus at age 19, and over the years the Lord has formed in him a clear calling to servant leadership and ministry. He is passionate about teaching God’s Word and walking alongside believers as they grow deeper in their faith with Jesus.
Ministry and Leadership Experience
James holds a Master of Arts in Christian Studies from Criswell College and has a background in both pastoral and cross-cultural ministry. He previously served as Associate Pastor at Wellspring Church, where he led the youth ministry, college ministry, community groups, and the church’s educational program.
He also brings strong leadership experience from nonprofit work, business, and military service, all of which have shaped his steady and thoughtful approach to ministry.
Why This Matters for Glen Meadows
At Glen Meadows, we want to see people rooted in faith, growing in community, and equipped to live on purpose. James’ ministry philosophy reflects that vision. He cares deeply about helping people connect and become disciple-makers in their homes, workplaces, and everyday lives.
We are thankful for the way God continues to guide our church, and we are excited for you to learn more about James and his family in the days ahead.
Church Vote
Church members will have the opportunity to officially vote to affirm James Gonzalez as our next Associate Pastor of Adult Discipleship.
Please join us in praying for James and Sara, for their family, and for our church as we seek the Lord together in this next step.
